About
Composer Erik Ingalls resides in Windsor, Ontario. He is a member of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada and has studied under the auspices of composer Ryner Stoetzer.
Winner of the 2021 AddAMovie Film Festival scoring competition and Musicworks Magazine 2017 Electronic Music Contest, he has also written and performed for theatre and as downtempo electronic artist NOT_digital.
Erik designed sound and wrote thematic and incidental music for ‘Threshold of Magic: The Death and Life of Tom Thomson’, for Canada’s 150th anniversary. He also worked with Tiffany Chan and Windsor Dance eXperience to stage a contemporary ballet ‘The Phantom’ in 2011.
In 2023 he provided score and Foley for Paperweight Owl Productions’ film Inertia, directed by Demetre Kalmantis.
2023 and 2024 saw collaboration with Moth Wing Productions’ Angelo Bombelli and Sebastien Gaspar-Woods wherein Erik contributed score and Foley to two films: Within These Walls and Heartworm. The latter taking the Best Horror - International Award at the 2025 Milwaukee Horror Film Festival.
Other work includes solo guitar fantasies that cross baroque and flamenco music, concertos in a neo-romantic style, and synthesized ambient meditations.
